Kanenobu : Meiō era (1492 1502), from the Owari province. Son of Muroya Seki Kaneari.
He first worked in Oyama (located in the Mino province), then in Shiga (Owari province). There are samples of Kanenobu's blades, from 1482 to 1540...
Some people think that there were some generations, but the blades have so similar characteristics, that it is more likely to have a very long life... It is a major smith, from the Naoe Shizu school, and founder of the Shizu Seki branch in Mino. he was active during the Meiō era (明応 1492 1502).
One can observe the characteristics similar to the Sōshū  tradition, from the Naoe Shizu lineage, founded  by the famous Kaneuji.
