Dogi Tsubaki - Tokyodo


The dogi Tsubaki is one of the best Aikidogi ever made.

Specifically created for practitioners of Aikido and traditional Jujutsu it is handmade in Japan by Tokyodo International, formerly Shureido Tokyo.
Its unique fabric is both lightweight and very strong. It is a very comfortable outfit, soft and silky inside, unlike the usual "rice grain" keïkogis.
Its lightness makes it flexible and allows it to dry very quickly.
Its thickness is between the Miyabi and the 200AS of Iwata.
Cut specifically for the practice of Aikido and traditional Jujutsu, it is lined at the shoulders for more resistance to Ukemi (falls), lined at the torso for seizures of Mune (chest), and its pants is reinforced (lined) kneeling for Suwariwaza work.
Finally, there is no back seam.

This beautiful Keikogi comes in 4 design variants:

  • Classic: Standard Fit
  • Classic Yudansha : Standard fit with shorter sleeves and pants
  • EX: Shorten Fit
  • EX Yudansha: Shorten fit with shorter sleeves and pants


The 'Yudansha' fit (confirmed level) are for practitioners wearing the Hakama, the trousers are cut shorter to prevent them from sticking out of the Hakama.
