The Shinai Daruma is a Meirin Shinai to Assemble brand. Daruma (玉 利) means "Bodhidharma".
It is a Shinai Dobari (胴 張 り 型), with exceptional maneuverability thanks to 100% manual craftsmanship.
The Dobari, which means "Enlarged Trunk", has an enlarged body in the middle, which brings its balance to the hands, maximizing maneuverability.
Suitable for beginners and advanced users.
This shinai is made in Madake (真 竹), bamboo native to Japan, in the case of Oita prefecture northeast of Kyūshū (formerly Bungo prefecture).
Madake, is an exclusively Japanese bamboo, which has thick and flexible fibers, making it an ideal material for making Shinai. it is durable with the right maintenance.
