Shinai - Bushin - 3.9 尺 - Meirin

The Shinai Bushin is a Shinai to Assemble from the brand Meirin. Bushin (武心) meaning "Martial Spirit".
The Bushin is both a Dobari and a Tsukabuto Gata with exceptional maneuverability thanks to 100% manual craftsmanship.
The Dobari (胴張り), which means "Enlarged Trunk", has an enlarged body in its middle, which brings its balance back to the hands, maximizing maneuverability.
The Bushin is also a Tsukabuto Gata (柄太型)
Tsukabuto literally acronymizes "thick handle", often preferred by those who have wider hands for the most comfortable handles.
Increasing the size of the Tsuka reduces the weight of the upper part of the shinai. As a result, the Shinai Tsukabuto are similar to the Dobari models in that the balance is brought back to the hands, which gives a feeling of vivacity and lightness to the tip.
Suitable for practitioners with large hands, from beginner to advanced.

Bushin has 3 layers of Tsuka (handle):

  • Nakabuto (中太): Medium Thick
  • Dobari (胴張り): Thick
  • Gokubuto (極太): Very Thick
