The Shinai
Ki Kai Kezuri Shikumi (機械削床仕組)is a
Shinai Assembled by Meirin.
Shikumi is
especially recommended for beginners.
It is a
Standard Shinai, or Tsūjōgata (通常型), is an evolution of the older form of Jissen Gata (real combat), with the weight that is slightly lowered towards the handle (Tsuka), and the Do, the Shinai’s body, slightly thickened.
The Shinai Standard is therefore balanced and optimized
for practice and competition, of which they are the standard.
The standard Shinai is the
perfect compromise between speed, power and flexibility.

This shinai is made of
Madake (真竹), bamboo native to Japan, in this case in the prefecture of Oita northeast of Kyūshū (formerly Bungo prefecture).
Madake, is an exclusively Japanese bamboo, which has
thick and flexible fibers, making it an ideal material for making Shinai. it is durable with good maintenance.
