K006 - Ishime 石目

The Fuchi and the Kashira are with a grainy relief imitating stone (Ishi 石).

• Fuchi (縁) dimensions: Length 41.5 mm, Width 23 mm, Height 13 mm
• Kashira (頭) dimensions: Length 38 mm, Width 18.5 mm, Height 11 mm

This Fuchi Kashira is very sober and classic.
The Ishime rendering, with a grainy appearance, is very widespread in Japan, in lacquers, pottery, steelwork...
We also find this type of texture on matte lacquer scabbards (Kuro Ishime, Cha Ishime), which allows to harmonize and have one of the most sober assemblies.
