The Shinai Taisen is a Shinai to Assemble of the Meirin brand. Taisen (厳 国) means "Rigid Country".
It is a Kotō Gata (古 刀 型), with exceptional maneuverability thanks to 100% manual craftsmanship.
The Kotō Shinai are almost the exact opposite of the Dobari. Instead of bringing the weight back into the hands, the weight is spread over the entire Shinai with a thin Do and an almost straight profile.
This style is considered more close to the balance of a real japanese sword and is typically favoured by higher ranks who practice a more refined and less overtly energetic Kendo style.
Suitable for experienced to expert practitioners.
