This Tsuba represents a Dragonfly (Katsumushi - 勝虫) above the water flow (Ryusui - 流水).
The dragonfly, which flies only in a straight line and never backs back, is also known as "katsumushi" (insect of victory), referring to the samurai's sentiment.
This one flies over a lively water, a current "Ryusui", which is always changing. It means never backing down, and adapting to the flow of water, to all situations encountered.
