Advice from the Masamune Team :
- Check your Shinai, its general condition and each of its components regularly.
- The Tsuru must be tight so that the slats of your shinai are held.
- When installing the tsuru or during a service, do not hesitate to cut the tsuru if it protrudes too much.
- You may fail a hardware check before starting a competition (if it is not tense enough or too long).
- If the Tsuru is damaged and the slats start moving, it will need to be replaced. This is an important safety point.
