Men Himo Indigo from our Japanese supplier Meirin.

100% Indigo cotton cords to hold the helmet (Men) on the head.
The Men Himo fits easily on the helmet and attaches to the Mengane (the helmet grid).
The Himo standard length is 7 尺 (shaku) or 212.2cm.
If you need longer links, they exist in 8 尺 (shaku), or 242.42cm.

These traditional cotton Men Himo Indigo are the standard for Kendo weave ties. Very good made, they do not fit in the classification Shouchikubai (Pine-Bamboo-Plum) for the upper cotton links.
A batch contains 2 cords.

Advice from the Masamune Team:

• Check the cord before and after training regularly.
• After using the Men, tie the Himo around it to dry flat.
• If the Himo is twisted, feel free to unfold it and then iron it back to its original shape.
• The cord will break in the striking or fastening areas.
• Once the cord is damaged, it will not be repaired and must be changed.
