The Shinai Hayate is a Shinai to Assemble of the Meirin brand. Hayate (颯) means "speed" or "suddenness.
It is a Shinai Jissen Gata (実 戦 型), with exceptional maneuverability thanks to 100% manual craftsmanship.
The Jissen Gata, which means "Real Combat". The C is wider than a Shinai Standard, but not as thick as a Dobari.
Designed for competition, this Shinai Jissengata has a thinner tip (Kissaki) than a standard Shinai.
Its center of gravity and transferred to the Tsuka (handle), facilitating its handling while giving an impression of lightness. Handy and lightweight shinai with a weight distribution that gives a tangible return of the position of the tip.
This model is best suited for experienced or experienced practitioners looking for precision, speed or "Koteuchi".
This shinai is made in Keichiku (桂 竹), bamboo mainly native to Taiwan, of the highest possible production.
Keichiku, worked in Japan, was chosen because it is close to Japanese Madake, with fine and dense fibres. It is often mechanically treated to remove moisture, making it slightly more brittle compared to Madake.
